This is an interesting site.
My mother was in Ballets Russes and was taught by the assistant of Pavlova, Claire Naudi.
She was in Red Shoes and Tales of Hoffmann, where a lot of Ballet Russes de Monaco people ended up and as far as I can see. That was one of her first jobs.
She is actually on the full cast photo shown at the end where there is Massine, Powell and Pressburger, Shearer et al.
She hated being in Sadlers wells under the dreadful Ninette de Valois who ruined so many people's careers, comparing it to being in the army. People were only called by their surnames you know under her!!
More's the point she appears to be the only one left alive at 82 in November.
She remembers Prebrajenska, and the method Legat.
Many many of the souvenirs, the costumes and the sets.

Kudos on the great work on the website! I have greatly enjoyed it and have a feeling I will be spending more time visiting.
I have a request to make.... On your POST DIAGHILEV DANCERS section for Igor Youskevitch, could you please kindly change the year he co-founded New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC) with Ilona Copen to 1983? Also, the link to NYIBC's website is www.nyibc.org. The link you currently have is for the USA IBC.
